In Nepal, too, the consequences of COVID-19 are putting public life under extreme pressure. The tourist industry is suffering particularly badly owing to the lack of tourists. Schools are having to make the best of home teaching. Unfortunately, there is a risk that COVID-19 will reverse some of the progress Nepal has made in recent years, with the poorest pupils being the most vulnerable.
